When you are implementing an annual switch build plan for any Field Service Area or building any new facility I can oversee the activities related to these 14 switch implementation milestones:
Order switch/primary equipment.
Install transport, switch or cell site equipment and wiring.
Complete Space Conditioning.
Establish transport and/or, local access or cell site plan.
Issue NACN questionnaire.
Install and test switch, power, and primary equipment.
Complete switch/primary ODA/DT.
Install and test ancillary equipment
Execute ISVP fit.
Order facilities.
Accept facilities.
Final completion of testing.
Complete integration and cluster testing.

Will develop work plans, obtain and approve estimates, and develop timeline for the execution of the switch build program for specific switches. Assess switch build progress and quality levels, and compare results to planned targets. Evaluate, prioritize, and execute ad-hoc requests in a manner that minimizes the impact on project scheduling and scope.
Support the development of switch implementation plans for future year. Interact with Client Corporate and site build management as necessary to resolve any coordination issues. Prepare monthly build status scorecard versus plan, and highlight areas for intervention for internal management. Determine internal and external resource requirements and ensure contractual arrangements are in place in order to begin work and ensure a streamlined vendor evaluation and selection process.
Interact periodically with vendors to discuss switch installation and transition progress, resolve critical operational bottlenecks, evaluate status of the relationship, and resolve relationship issues to ensure that vendor performance metrics match or exceed planned targets. Assign roles and responsibilities for project team and support staff.
Experience:
Switch build experience (Lucent, Nortel, Ericsson, switching hardware and software), Ericsson MSC 5000, Lucent 5ESS, Nortel DMS 10 to 500. There is a list available showing some of the equipment installed. Developed work estimates financial budgets and timelines. Have ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Have ability to and experience with coaching employees.
