    OBJECTIVE:

    Seek to find consulting jobs for Winlock Associates, LLP working in United States, Australia, Ireland, Islands, or Europe.

    WORK HISTORY:

        May 1998 to Present – Systems Integration Engineer, Technician, Project Manager, Power Engineer. Work for JP Staffing of Winston-Salem, NC and some other staffing companies.

        Design type III POP (point of presence) sites where three or more backbone cables come together in a network.

        Design database and spreadsheet to input information on battery power supplies in central office locations across the country. Allow personnel at all locations to access database to input their respective data covering local power supply via wide area network. Manage the design of new power supplies.

    Work on DMS Access Nodes hardware and software installations. Testing Equipment and Systems for Frontier Communications and other companies. Provide engineering, management and installation services through a consultant working agreement. Work through preferred staffing vendors.    

        Responsible for the site survey and installation of equipment and wiring, project management and writing of Universal Service Orders for KMC Telecom.

        Responsible for the installation of circuit packs and software loads on DMS/Access Nodes, Voicemail Express. Completed several hundred up grades (retrofit) on DMS Access Nodes and Access Node Express locations for Focal Communications, ITC Deltacom, Cox Communications, Brookes Fiber.

        Managed the operations of installers on Reltec power system installation for Level 3. Coordinated the work efforts on the main battery system.

        Project manager and operational tester responsible for the install and testing of a Nortel power supply for AT&T training center in New Jersey with thirty satellite locations. Coordinated the work efforts on the main battery system plus 30 satellite systems.

        March 1975 to May 1998 – Owner, Systems Integration Engineer, Technician, Project Manager, Supervisor Electrician. Worked for Mountain States Electric (Electric and Telecommunications Div.), Casper, Wyoming and Portland, Oregon.

        Clients were large electrical, industrial, utility firms. Installed hardware, cable, equipment, circuit packs, tested and commissioned Alcatel 1631 during 1997 for GTE Long Beach, California. Installed several DMS 100, 200 and 500 systems. Installed and tested equipment and systems.

        Worked in development and execution of proposals and projects to bring new technologies to bear in product/service offerings, which includes screening, evaluation, development and prioritization of new projects and opportunities.

    Screen unsolicited external proposals and generate internal proposals. Coordinate, developed and lead efforts to drive programs to closure with influence on functional areas to secure resources in support of projects, proposals.

        Coordinate the activities of internal departments in support of projects and status reporting to senior management. Can plan budgets and operate within those budgets. Organized, innovative, aggressive and energetic in anticipating and solving problems. Managed the operations capital expenditure and expense budgets and business development, team building, am self-motivated and success driven. Managed engineering and contracting business that I owned.

        Performed monthly, quarterly, annual financial reporting and consolidation for company. Performed daily accounting, invoice processing and check signing. Performed trading controls and risks reporting. Performed dispute analysis and resolution. Manage accounts receivable and resolve billing inquiries and disputes. Manage the annual audit process. Manage the payroll function and annual incentive plan computations. Interface with customers and joint venture partners on financial and/or general business matters. Performed data, electrical and telecommunications estimating, design central offices.

        Took a pro-active role in managing multiple discipline projects, worked independently maintaining a team relationship. Managed costs, as well as, produced revenue. Used customer management experience and negotiation skills. Managed a team of engineers, technicians and administrative support staff. Provided support to, and manage all personnel at on-site locations. Developed relationships with client companies to expand business. Worked directly with sales team to develop relationships with new accounts. Participated in formal customer presentations. Performed as manager in accounting or administration.

        June 1958 to March 1975 – Electrician, Project Manager, Supervisor, Telephone Technician, Engineer. Worked for Mountain States Electric, Casper, Wyoming, and Portland, Oregon USA and other contractors signatory to I.B.E.W.

        Served four-year electrical apprenticeship 1958 to 1962. Installed ac electrical wiring and dc battery power systems. Was responsible for installation of equipment for information system projects, network systems, transport systems, switching systems, and technical support activities for telephone utilities. Developed a strategic blueprint for business telecommunications. Worked as electrician through I.B.E.W for years.

        Developed effective working relationships with local vendors to ensure the highest possible service levels. Evaluate and provide agreements for hardware, communications, and software. Designed Internet sites and pages. Planed, tracked, and communicated activity status and issues to business owners and corporate management. Supervised the writing and illustrating of technical documentation.

        Managed business operations of two divisions on work installing electrical, telecommunications, automated equipment programs with a combined contract value of $65 Million. Was responsible for program plans and schedules work around solutions and status reviews.

    COMPUTER SKILLS:

        Good experience using programs operated in Windows 95/98/2000/NT and UNIX. Have good understanding of databases, LAN, WAN, Mainframe, Client Server Environments. Have experience with file document functions. Build computers and networks. Every day use e-mail, MS Office 97/2000, Lotus Suites, HTML, JAVA, MS Works, Quicken, other software. Design web pages for people.
